Komphela Lands New Celtic Signing

Thato Lingwati Has Joined Bloemfontein Celtic

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 27, 2018 02:15 PM
Steve Komphela looks to have added another name to his list of signings at Bloemfontein Celtic, with the club snapping up Thato Lingwati after his exit from Jomo Cosmos.

The 26-year-old midfielder left Ezenkosi after they failed to secure promotion into the Absa Premiership via the play-offs earlier this year, and he has made sure that he will be playing top-flight football in 2018/19.

Lingwati made his debut for Jomo Sono’s side back in 2013, playing a vital role for the club over the past five seasons as they battled – without fruition – to make it back into the big leagues, and got two goals for the club in 2017/18 as they made the play-offs.

Now though, he’s on the move to the Free State to join up with Komphela’s side at Siwelele, signing a two-year deal with the club.

The player's agent, John Wilson, confirmed the transfer, saying, “We're happy for Thato to be moving up into the Absa Premiership, and we think Bloemfontein Celtic is the right club for him to showcase his abilities."

He should not proof innocent people wrong coz he was given enough time and i wonder which games were you guys watching, our beloved team loosing games left, right and centre.Chiefs is a big brand,we expect a coach to win every cup on offer. For you Steve was right when the team don't win anything?

As much as I like Khompela and wish to see him succeed as a black, South African coach I think he made a mistake by joining this broke, unambitious team. SSU would have been perfect for him given he gets rid of all the old cows there
