Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder, Thapelo Morena, is understood to have attracted the interest of big guns Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The pacey Morena has risen through the ranks at Phunya Sele Sele, graduating from the youth structures to the first team in 2013.
The 22-year-old has gone from strength to strength and is now a regular name on Celtic’s team sheet, making 16 appearances in the side's 19 games in all competitions so far this season.
Siya sources have now revealed that Morena’s impressive displays this season has garnered the attention of a couple of PSL heavyweights.
“Thapelo Morena is on the radar of two Gauteng-based clubs. The attack-minded player has attracted interest from the likes of big-guns Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns,” a source told the Siya crew.
“Morena, who is part of Owen da Gama’s South African U23 side, is apparently being closely monitored by the technical team of the aforementioned sides, with the duo likely to approach the leadership at Celtic towards the end of the current season.”
