Bloemfontein Celtic’s Wandisile Letlabika is on the mend after a scare involving the player in yesterday’s game.
The Celtic star collided with the post and looked to be in very bad shape as the game was delayed for 10 minutes in order to give him the medical attention he required, and there were worries that the injury may have been serious.
Things are looking up for the defender though, and he is said to be heading home after precautionary scans at hospital.
The 29-year-old had to be stretchered off in the 0-0 draw as the club held their breath of his safety and risk of concussion, but his agency say that they ‘thank the Lord’ that he looks to be ok.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Siyavuma Sports Group said, “We thank the Lord that there seems to be no damage to his brain, and that he looks to be recovering well. We were obviously worried, but he stayed in hospital for scans and things are looking ok for him.”
He is, however, expected to spend some time on the sidelines as he recovers from the likely concussion that he sustained.
