Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo praised his teammates for sticking to the game plan following their 2-0 win over Chippa United in an Absa Premiership match on Tuesday night.
Goals from Mpho Makola and Sifiso Myeni handed the Buccaneers their first win over Chippa in the league which sees them up to second spot on the table for the time being.
Ntshumayelo created his side’s second goal on the night and was named ‘man of the match’, but was quick to thank his teammates for their efforts.
“Well done to the boys. I think we stuck to the plan and did what we were supposed to do which was put them under pressure. I think that’s what we did from the first minute,” said Ntshumayelo.
“I think we had opportunities to score in the second half of which we didn’t.
“I think we are happy with what we have and we have worked for it.
“We can be very happy with our performance tonight.”
