Thandani ‘Bibo’ Ntshumayelo could be on the verge of a return to action in the Absa Premiership, with Siya sources suggesting that he may have found a new club.
Last year it was confirmed that the 29-year-old midfielder had been given permission to play again after he successfully appealed a four-year ban for cocaine use, with the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) reducing his sentence to two years – which he had already served.
‘Bibo’ was recently training with Highlands Park as he sought the next chapter in his career after spending a lengthy period with Bidvest Wits to get back in shape, and now it appears that Baroka are keen to land his signature as they look to secure their top-flight status.
The former SuperSport United man is currently a free agent and therefore not bound by the transfer window, and there have been indications that – if all goes well – he could officially be an Absa Premiership player again by the end of the week.
Ntshumayelo played his last competitive game in April 2016 and will be itching to get back on the field again almost three years later.
