Orlando Pirates striker, Thamsanqa Gabuza, has heaped praise on coach, Eric Tinkler, saying that he could coach any team in the PSL.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview in edition 959, 'Ganda Ganda' hailed the Buccaneers’ coach, despite a number of disappointing results in the 2015/16 league campaign.
“Eric has proved himself as a good coach. He reached the final of the CAF Confederation Cup. He can coach any team in the PSL,” Gabuza said.
Tinkler has been feeling the pressure of results that have not be forthcoming, with a large portion of Bucs’ supporters calling for the former Bafana Bafana midfielder to step down.
“He knows all about the challenges that players face and can relate well to us. He can sense the mood when we are down, because, like I said, he was a player himself. I can also say he’s a good motivator,” the former Golden Arrows striker said.
Pirates have now dropped out of the top eight and find themselves in 11th position on the latest PSL standings, after suffering their second defeat on the trot.
Tinkler's charges have now collected 23 points from a possible 57.
