Qalinge On Restoring The Pride Of Bucs’ Badge

Thabo Qalinge Puts Emphasis On Restoring Pride For Orlando Pirates

By Soccer Laduma - Sep 29, 2017 07:34 PM

Orlando Pirates winger, Thabo Qalinge, has emphasised the importance of playing for the club’s badge, as he and his teammates aim to bring back the glory days of winning matches and trophies to the side.

Qalinge is one of the players that have been on form for Bucs in the early stages of this season under Milutin Sredojevic. Speaking to Soccer Laduma, Qalinge has explained why it is important for the team to play for the Pirates badge.

“Honestly, we always play for the club’s badge even if we don’t say it. You won’t believe the work rate we put into ensuring that we do well on the field. We haven’t won anything uma sikhuluma iqiniso (to be honest), so we can’t get carried away by the good start. We still need to work harder for the team to ensure that we keep getting good results and improving our game. We continue to play for the badge and also to restore the pride of the badge. Everyone knows that we had a terrible season kulonyaka odlule (last year) and we have to make sure to do better this time around,” said Qalinge.

you can put in a lot of extra work at training that is what you are getting paid to do, soccer is still the only job where people can get away with telling you they are doing what they were supposed to be doing in the first place. I'm still disturbed by 3-2 victory over an ABC motsepe league side
