Clubs in the Premier Soccer League were left with several decisions to make yesterday in line with the general deadline date for exercising added options on contracts.
It’s been confirmed to the Siya crew that SuperSport United have made their decision official on the future of Thabo Mnyamane, with the player now set to leave the club on a free at the end of the season.
“SuperSport United have not exercised the added option on Thabo’s contract which means he will be leaving the club on a free at the end of the season,” the player’ representative, Gary Cassisa confirmed to the Siya crew.
As reported in last week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Bidvest Wits have been showing strong interest in Mnyamane’s services, with indications that the club was waiting until the decision about his future became official.
However, despite Mnyamane now able to leave SuperSport and join any club of his choice, indications are that he will remain at Matsatsantsa until the 2019/20 season is concluded over the coming months.
Meanwhile, Chippa United have also been keeping an eye on the 27-year-old and it remains to be seen who will win the race to land the player’s signature for the 2020/21 campaign.
