Orlando Pirates have received a major boost ahead of Saturday’s Nedbank Cup clash against Mamelodi Sundowns, with news that defender, Thabo Matlaba, will start light training this morning after recovering from an ankle injury.
Pirates’ medical team told the club’s official website on Monday that the hard-running fullback has gone through rehabilitation and will start training ahead of the team’s clash against Sundowns on Saturday.
Matlaba injured his ankle in the home match against Mpumalanga Black Aces on April 2.
Meanwhile, winger Tlou Segolela who sustained a light knock to his thigh over the weekend, completed yesterday's session.
“I got the knock in the first few minutes of the game, but it is not bad. I should be fine in the next few days,” Segolela told the club’s official website.
Pirates will take on Sundowns at Loftus Stadium on Saturday at 20h15.
