Thabo Matlaba is confident of the revival of his former Orlando Pirates teammate Thandani ‘Bibo’ Ntshumayelo as the midfielder has been working on resurrecting his career.
After being signed by Swallows FC prior to the start of the season on a one-year deal, Ntshumayelo struggled for game-time as he had to work hard to get to full fitness after being out of the game for some time.
Matlaba has lauded the 31-year-old midfielder for his work-rate and believes that the ex-SuperSport United star will get his chance under the team’s new coach Dylan Kerr.
“The guy is working very hard and he wants to see himself playing. It’s just that the situation that we are in at the moment is very difficult for coaches to make a lot of changes because the team is not doing well. Let us wait for the team to start doing well again and people will see the best of Bibo. In training, the guy is doing everything well and is just waiting for his time and he can’t be thrown into the deep end immediately because the team is not doing well,” said Matlaba.
