Ndoro On Cape Town Derby: Everybody Is Ready
Tendai Ndoro Has Spoken Ahead Of The Cape Town Derby
Ajax Cape Town’s new signing, Tendai Ndoro will be playing in yet another derby, but this time between two Mother City-based clubs.
The 29-year-old striker plied his trade for Orlando Pirates for two years before making the move to Saudi Arabian-outfit, Al Faisaly in August last year.
However, the player’s stint in Saudi Arabia was short-lived, after Ndoro returned to Mzansi, where the Urban Warriors quickly snatched him up.
Now, after fond memories of the Soweto derby, Ndoro will now be looking to help the Urban Warriors to a first derby win against rivals Cape Town City.
“So far, so good. I am happy to be back and playing football again, good football, not only football but playing good football,” Ndoro told the media in a press-conference ahead of Saturday’s encounter.
“As for the last game, we really needed that win, so it could boost everyone to get motivated for the upcoming derby. So, the confidence is high, we can see in the changing room that everybody is ready and we really looking forward (to) the fixture,” he added.
The match is scheduled to be underway on Saturday, January 20, at 15h30.
