D-Day For Ndoro & Ajax
Tendai Ndoro Could Discover His Fate At Ajax Cape Town Today
Ajax Cape Town and Tendai Ndoro could be given clarity on the striker’s situation today, with the PSL’s Disciplinary Committee sitting on his eligibility case.
Ndoro has played for three clubs – Orlando Pirates, Al Faisaly and Ajax – this season, with questions being asked around FIFA's rule stating that any player can only play for two clubs in one season.
The Urban Warriors were given the all clear to play the Zimbabwean by the PSL's DRC after they requested clarification, however the Siya crew was informed that both FIFA and the PSL recommended that they didn’t continue to play him.
Ajax decided to use Ndoro, leading to protests from both Pirates and Polokwane City.
Today there could be a decision made on whether Ajax will be punished or not, with the league releasing a statement last week saying:
The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee will sit next week, on 15 February 2018 for the two Protests by Polokwane City FC and Orlando Pirates FC against Ajax Cape Town FC.
The two clubs lodged protests ahead of their Absa Premiership fixtures against Ajax Cape Town for fielding of Mr Tendai Ndoro.
Ajax Cape Town played Mr Ndoro against Orlando Pirates on 31 January and against Polokwane City on 04 February 2018.
The Siya crew will keep an eye on Ndoro’s situation to see whether a decision is made.
