This afternoon SuperSport United will take to the Moses Mabhida Stadium for the Nedbank Cup final as they look to defend the trophy they clinched last year.
Matsatsantsa a Pitori will be facing the 2012/13 Absa Premiership champions, Kaizer Chiefs, in the final - as the Soweto giants line-up a league and cup double.
United’s assistant coach, Kaitano Tembo, told the Siya crew that although they respect Chiefs, they will be going all-out to defend the trophy. The former defender said that they want to play like champions and win the Nedbank Cup for a second consecutive time.
“We respect Chiefs. They are a good team but we have a trophy to defend. We have worked very hard to be in the final and we have played some tough games, and now it is the final and we stand ready for the game," he said.
“We played Chiefs almost just over a week and we could have won that game, and since it was a league game, a draw was okay. But this is a cup final and one has to fall, and I don't think it will be us,” the Zimbabwean-born coach concluded.
