The draw for the Telkom Knockout Cup took place on Monday night after an astonishing 20 goals were scored in the first round and football fans will hope for more of the same in the quarterfinals.
The quarterfinal ties will be played on the weekend of October 18-20, with all eyes on MTN8 winners Platinum Stars hosting Mamelodi Sundowns, who had knocked out defending champions Bloemfontein Celtic in the first round.
Mpumalanga Black Aces host Orlando Pirates at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday night in the last of the first round matches, as the game was postponed because of Pirates’ participation in the CAF Champions League semi-finals at the weekend.
Either Orlando Pirates or Free State Stars will host Golden Arrows, dependant on the delayed first round tie between the Buccaneers and Black Aces.
Mpumalanga Black Aces or Free State Stars will play host to Kaizer Chiefs, with the mighty Amakhosi's hosts dependant on the delayed first round clash.
SuperSport United will meet the Dube Birds, Moroka Swallows in another not to be missed cup clash.
