Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise admits he is grateful his side took their chances in front of goal in their 4-1 Absa Premiership win over Moroka Swallows on Tuesday night.
Goals from Alje Schut, Modise and a brace from Cuthbert Malajila in the opening 25 minutes saw them wipe the floor with the Swallows defence.
Modise was named ‘man of the match’ for his one assist and his goal.
Speaking after the match Modise confesses his team has been working hard on their finishing in the mid-season break.
“We are grateful that the opportunities we managed to create in the first half we were able to score them,” said Modise
“We knew they could cause us a problem with their pace, but thankfully we secured the points.
“We have been working on our finishing 9during the break) because we know that each and every game that we play we create chances and it is up to us to score the goals.
“Tonight (against Swallows) we scored and we could have scored more, and hopefully in the coming games we will be able to score more goals.
“We now have to focus on the next game and do ourselves a favour and win all our games and concede less goals as well.”
