Mashamaite: A Win Is Always Good

Kaizer Chiefs captain, Tefu Mashamaite, was complimentary of his side’s late win against Botswana champions, Township Rollers on Saturday evening at the FNB Stadium.
The Absa Premiership pace-setters opened their 2015 CAF Champions League account with a home fixture, but left it late to claim a narrow 2-1 win, ahead of the second leg in a fortnight.
When it all looked like the Amakhosi would be a held to a draw, the skipper stepped up to score late in injury time with a glancing header and hand his side an advantage.
“Masha” told the Siya crew that a win is always good and that it gives motivation and encouragement.
"It's always good to win. We always play to win and mainly in Africa it is important that you win at home and we did just that. It really doesn't matter who scores as long as the team is the winner at the end of the day.
“Of course I am happy I scored but what makes me much more happier is that the team won. We will go to the second leg knowing what to expect and what we want," the former Bidvest Wits skipper concluded.
Tefu will now once again lead his charges when they play away to SuperSport United in the Absa Premiership at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The tie will start at 19:30.
