Chiefs Signing Nears Club Debut
Over four months since he completed his move to Kaizer Chiefs from Chicken Inn, Teenage Hadebe could finally be on the verge of making his debut for the club.
Hadebe, 22, joined the Amakhosi at the start of the 2017/18 season as Steve Komphela looked to bulk up his backline ahead of the new campaign, however, he was ruled out towards the end of August as he injured his ankle in training.
Now, with the year coming to a close, there are signs that the Zimbabwean could finally don the Amakhosi jersey for the first time in a competitive game, and Komphela may field him in one of their final six games of 2017.
The club’s official Twitter account said over the weekend, “Teenage Hadebe has started training with the team after a lengthy spell out with an ankle injury.”
Chiefs have battled with injuries this season, and although it does now appear that they are getting closer to full strength, they do have Ryan Moon (jaw fracture) and George Maluleka (hamstring) recently joining the injury list.
