Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Tebogo Langerman, insists the clubs supporters should not blame the coach for recent results.
Pitso Mosimane’s side look to have recovered from a shaky start to the season with back to back wins in the PSL.
However, before the Brazilians snatched a late win against Ajax Cape Town in their league clash last week, there was a certain section of Downs’ fans that made their feelings about the coach known with many calling for him to be sacked.
Langerman has indicated that he does not think that Mosimane should have to bare the brunt of such criticism and that it should be the players that shoulder the blame.
“I don’t think the problem is with the coach. If they want someone to blame, they should blame us as players,” Langerman told Soccer Laduma.
“It’s our duty to win games and to do that we need the support of our fans. They should be there to support us and we will fight for results. They should not blame the coach,” he added.
