Thomas Sweswe Credits Ferreira

Former Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs defender Thomas Sweswe has credited Wits' Chief Executive Officer Jose Ferreira for giving him a lifeline when he was released from Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs in the 2011/2012 season.

Speaking to Soccer Laduma Sweswe expressed his gratitude for the faith shown by the Clever Boys’ CEO.

“Jose was the one who facilitated my move to Bidvest Wits. When no one would touch Zimbabwean players at the time because of the match-fixing scandal Jose took a risk and brought me over to Wits,” said an emotional Sweswe.

“Who knows where my career would have ended I owe him a great deal,” concluded the Zimbabwean defender.
