Word reaching the Siya crew is that SuperSport United have upped their efforts to try and land Ajax Cape Town defender, Thato Mokeke.
The 23-year-old will see his contract expire at the end of the season, and it is believed that Matsatsantsa are eager to tempt him back to the club where he was raised as a child.
It was reported by Soccer-Laduma recently that Mokeke was a potential target for the Tshwane-based outfit, and it now seems that, after halting their interest in Platinum Stars’ Tshepo Gumede, they have increased their attempts to sign Mokeke.

Mokeke, who was previously a target for Orlando Pirates, has hardly featured for Ajax under Muhsin Ertugral, and it could be that he welcomes a return to SuperSport at the end of the season as he hopes to get his career back on track.
SuperSport are also believed to be keen on landing Lehlohonolo Majoro and Katlego Mphela at the end of the season as they look to bulk up their squad.
Would Mokeke be a good signing for SuperSport?
