SuperSport Back As Tinkler Era Officially Begins

SuperSport United's Full Squad Returned To Training Today

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 20, 2017 12:46 PM
SuperSport United returned to full training today under Eric Tinkler as the former Bafana Bafana midfielder’s reign at the club officially got underway.
Tinkler’s contract with SuperSport began on July 1st as Stuart Baxter left the position for Bafana Bafana, however, it was Kaitano Tembo who led the club in their last few games of the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
With Matsatsantsa into the quarter-finals of the CCC, Tinkler opted to give his players some time off before they returned to prepare for the new season, with the squad only reconvening today.
Tinkler will be looking to assess his squad in the coming weeks as he decides upon his starting XI when the league gets underway next month, although there are expected to be further changes at the club with regards to incomings and outgoings.
SuperSport’s next CAF game will take place in September when they take on ZESCO United of Zambia for a spot in the semi-finals.
