SuperSport United Put Up A Real Fight In The CAF Confederation Cup

SuperSport United are the only South African team left in this year's CAF competitions after a dramatic draw with ZESCO United saw them progress on away goals.

Thuso Phala struck twice in Ndola prior to Mamelodi Sundowns getting knocked out of the CAF Champions League, meaning that Matsatsantsa will be Mzansi’s only representatives in the final eight teams across both competitions.

Eric Tinkler’s side looked to be heading out of the CAF Confederation Cup as the clock ticked on in Zambia, however Phala had other plans as he latched onto the end of a Bradley Grobler flick before smashing home in the 92nd minute.

SuperSport will now face Tunisia's Club Africain in the semifinals, with the first leg - in South Africa - due to take place this coming weekend.

kanti when are we gonna see chiefs reaching at least the semis of the CCC? because the less said about CCL the better . before you go to CCL you must be a champion in your league and i see that as a paramount for chiefs
