As they look to continue their impressive record against the Buccaneers, SuperSport are sweating over the fitness of Grobler, who suffered an ankle injury in the MTN8 second leg semi-final loss against Bloemfontein Celtic.
The injury also saw the 32-year-old miss out for Bafana Bafana in their AFCON qualifiers against Sao Tome, with both matches ending in victory for Molefi Ntseki’s men.

Now, as his side prepares to take on an in-form Pirates team this Saturday, coach Kaitano Tembo has provided an update on his club’s top goalscorer.
“With Bradley, everyone is well aware that he had an ankle injury after our Bloemfontein Celtic game in the MTN8 semi-final so he couldn’t even go to Bafana. He hasn’t trained since that Celtic game, so we are expecting to have a look at him tomorrow (Thursday) and see if he is going to be able to play,” Tembo said speaking to the Siya crew.
“He will have a late fitness test either tomorrow or Friday,” Tembo added.

The fixture against Pirates is one that Grobler particularly enjoys. The striker has scored eight goals against the Soweto giants in recent times, with the last of his goals coming in the form of a brace in a 3-0 rout for Matsatsantsa at the Mbombela Stadium last year.
Grobler has also been linked with a move to Pirates in recent times, although a move has not materialized for the Bafana Bafana man.
