Kaitano Tembo’s side get their 2019/20 Absa Premiership season underway today with a big Tshwane Derby with their local rivals, and there could be a couple of debuts on the cards as Kuda Mahachi and Thamsanqa Gabuza look to try and make an impact after coming in from Orlando Pirates.
The club used the duo to help launch their new Umbro jerseys as they started a new partnership with the English sports brand, but they also used the occasion to unveil Jesse Donn – who has been training with the club for a while – as their third new signing.
It remains to be seen if any of the three will be handed a starting berth this afternoon at 15h00 when SuperSport and Sundowns lock horns at Lucas Moripe Stadium, though at least one of them is expected to feature over the course of the 90 minutes.
Interestingly, SuperSport also used in-demand players such as Aubrey Modiba, Bradley Grobler and Ronwen Williams in their kit launch, possibly suggesting once again that none of them are for sale as we enter into the last month of the transfer window.
