SuperSport United defender, Sibusiso Khumalo, is back in contention for a place in Cavin Johnson’s side after recovering from a face injury.
The 24-year-old hasn’t featured for Matsatsantsa since being carried off in the 1-0 defeat to AmaZulu last month, when a collision with Bongani Ndulula left him with a fractured nose.
Now, nearly a month later, Khumalo is back in Johnson’s match day squad and could well feature for the club against Wits later this evening as they look to open up a five-point gap over their opponents.
Khumalo had been in fine form for SuperSport up until his injury, though his absence saw the emergence of young left-back, Brandon Dean, who has gone on to put in a number of impressive performances for Matsatsantsa.
With that in mind, it remains to be seen whether Johnson will stick with Dean for this game, or throw Khumalo straight back into his starting XI.
The two teams lock horns at Bidvest Stadium tonight, with the game beginning at 19h30.
