Matsatsantsa are short of a centre back after Khumalo’s departure for Bidvest Wits earlier this month, and the Siya crew has been informed that Booysen has made his way onto their list of targets.
The 27-year-old has fallen severely down the pecking order at Chloorkop this season after playing 14 league games for the club in their last campaign, and hasn’t made a single appearance for them in 2015/16 so far.
It is thought that SuperSport are looking to bring Booysen in on a permanent basis, however could settle for a loan, before the closure of the current transfer window so that the towering centre back can work alongside Clayton Daniels.
SuperSport have 10 days to make any signings before the current window closes, and having already snapped up Mark Mayambela it is thought that there are a number of other players they are chasing in an attempt to try and improve their poor league position.
