Wits ‘Keeper Surfaces At SuperSport

SuperSport United Are Taking A Look At Thakasani Mbanjwa

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 21, 2017 12:12 PM
Bidvest Wits goalkeeper, Thakasani Mbanjwa, has surfaced at SuperSport United as Eric Tinkler and Andre Arendse assesses the young shot-stopper.
The Clever Boys snapped up Mbanjwa as a teenager back in 2015, however, he has been unable to force his way into Gavin Hunt’s first team past the likes of Moeneeb Josephs and Darren Keet.
Now 20, the Siya crew have been informed that Mbanjwa is currently training with Tinkler’s side at Megawatt Park following the decision to release Dumisani Msibi recently.
It remains to be seen whether Mbanjwa will be offered a contract at the club at this stage, but even if he does it will prove difficult for him to get past Ronwen Williams and Reyaad Pieterse as the club’s number one and number two.
SuperSport will leave for camp in Polokwane on Monday as they continue their preparations for the new season, starting with a friendly against Ajax Cape Town.
