SuperSport United have submitted a six-month loan offer for Maccabi Haifa’s South African striker, Dino Ndlovu.

The Siya crew reported in today’s issue of Soccer-Laduma that SuperSport were one of a handful of teams that were keen on helping Ndlovu escape from his tough period in Israel, especially after they missed out on Kaizer Chiefs striker, Lehlohonolo Majoro.

While Orlando Pirates are also believed to be very keen on the forward, it seems that SuperSport have made the first move, contacting Haifa and requesting to take the 23-year-old on a six-month loan until the end of the season.

It is believed that the offer consists of a six-month loan, plus the option to buy him at the end of the period should he impress with Matsatsantsa.

The striker suffered racist abuse from fans in Israel last week when he was told to ‘go back home to Uganda’, and the Siya crew is led to believe that he desperately wants out of the club, even if it means a sting back in the PSL.

Ndlovu was South Africa’s top scorer abroad last season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions, although he has struggled for game time in Maccabi since recovering from a foot fracture.

Matsatsantsa are now waiting to hear from Haifa on the matter as they look to add another striker to their squad.
