With Soccer-Laduma reporting earlier that Edwin Gyimah could be ruled out for the season with an ankle injury he sustained against Orlando Pirates, the Siya crew reliably understands that SuperSport United could be looking at bringing in cover in central midfield.
The Ghanaian international has been a dominating presence in Matsatsantsa's midfield since joining the club in 2011, and understandably United may need cover if he is ruled out with a long-term injury.
If Gyimah was to be ruled out, SuperSport may be feeling a bit thin in the centre of the park as they are also without George Maluleka and Krut Lentjies who moved to Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United respectively.
The crew understands that SuperSport could be looking at Golden Arrows', Thanduyise Khuboni, as well as Maritzburg United's Michael Morton, as potential replacements.
However, at this stage SuperSport are remaining quiet about whether they have made any official enquiries about the availability of both players. The crew will monitor any further developments.
