SuperSport United have signed young Angolan striker, Joao De Oliveira, on loan from Petro De Luanda.
The 18-year-old, who impressed for Angola during the recent COSAFA U20 tournament, has signed a six-month loan agreement with Matsatsantsa and has already begun training with them.
De Oliveira was signed just before the transfer window slammed shut on Friday evening, and has already been registered with the PSL and is eligible to feature for Cavin Johnson’s side.
While the forward will not be able to feature in the CAF Confederation Cup for SuperSport, like Dino Ndlovu he will be registered for the latter stages of the competition should Matsatsantsa make it through.
The youngster scored four goals for Angola’s U20s, including a hattrick against Madagascar, before they were knocked out of the COSAFA U20 Cup in the semi finals.
It remains to be seen as to when the forward will make his debut for the club, but with Bradley Grobler out injured, he could find himself in SuperSport’s matchday squad in the near future.
