Following the news broken by the Siya crew earlier today, SuperSport United have confirmed that Mame Niang has signed a new contract with the club.
It was reported on the Soccer-Laduma web and mobi-site this afternoon that the on-loan University of Pretoria striker was close to agreeing to a new deal with Matsatsantsa, after they decided to offer him a second chance with the club, with SuperSport now confirming the news.
Matsatsantsa’s official Twitter account stated, “Mame Niang has signed a three-year deal with Matsatsantsa.”
Niang has been in impressive form while on loan with Tuks this season, scoring 10 goals as the club squeezed into the PSL’s top eight, despite only gaining promotion to South Africa’s elite league at the end of last season.
Now, after a disappointing first spell with SuperSport, Niang will be hoping that his spell with Tuks will stand him in good stead to break into Matsatsantsa’s first team in their next campaign.
