Mamelodi Sundowns will hope to see Rashid Sumaila return injury-free from international duty to continue with his remarkable progress under Pitso Mosimane this season.
The strong defender was allowed to leave for international duty as he and his teammates of Ghana have been working on their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Sumaila has been the backbone of the Sundowns defence in the 2013/14 campaign, despite having joined the club this season.
He and the team’s captain Alje Schut have been solid in central defence, helping Sundowns to the top of the Absa Premiership log.
Sumaila has made seven starts and missed just one game for Sundowns so far this season.
The 20-year-old will be expected to play an important role for Sundowns in their next game against Moroka Swallows on his return.
