Mamelodi Sundowns could look to Keagan Dolly, Themba Zwane and some of their new signings, to lead the team when they face Ajax Cape Town in their league outing tonight.
The Brazilians need to get their Absa Premiership title chase back on track when they take on a rejuvenated Ajax on Wednesday.
With Sundowns on the back of two losses in succession, against Mpumalanga Black Aces and Golden Arrows respectively, tonight's fixture against the newly crowned MTN8 champions should be an entertaining one.
“Fortunately, Keagan Dolly – who cut his professional teeth at Ajax – is slowly establishing himself and he is working well with Teko Modise, while Themba Zwane has proven himself useful in changing the game when given a run.
“This middle of the park set will most likely determine the success of the striking team where the coach now has an abundance of talent – attacking midfielder Mogakolodi Ngele, Cuthbert Malajila, Fiston Abdoul Razak and Leonardo Castro if the coach decides that he is ready for battle,” the club said on their official website.
Sundowns lost 1-0 in their first round league game against Ajax at the Cape Town Stadium last season. The Chloorkop outfit won the second round game 2-1 with goals from former captain Alje Shut and Teko Modise.
