Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that Khama Billiat and Bongani Zungu are unavailable for tonight’s league game against Mpumalanga Black Aces owing to injuries.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Brazilians revealed on the club’s official website that the two midfielders, as well as striker Cuthbert Malajila were doubtful for the Aces game.
The club’s official website has also confirmed that both Billiat and Zungu are due for scans while Malajila is set for a late fitness test.
“Mosimane’s side has however suffered a major setback as far as injuries are concerned, with influential players Khama Billiat and Bongani Zungu missing the match through injuries. The pair were assessed and will now go for scans to determine the extent of their respective injuries.
"Zungu has a foot contusion, while Billiat suffered an ankle injury in Downs’ last match. The Brazilians’ leading scorer, Cuthbert Malajila, has been included in the squad and will undergo a late fitness test.
"Jabulani Shongwe was cleared by the team doctors after he also picked up a knock in Downs’ last match,” sundownsfc.co.za revealed.
