Mamelodi Sundowns have released a list of players that are unavailable for this weekend’s league game against Wits due to injuries.
The Brazilians are expected to be without six players against the Students, as Pitso Mosimane and his team will be trying to keep up with the teams at the summit of the table.
Thela Ngobeni, Glenn Verbauwhede, Thamsanqa Sangweni, Mukuka Mulenga, Anthony Laffor, Tiyani Mabunda and Rodney Ramagalela are all either struggling with injuries or making their way back into the team.

“The latest player to the join the injury list is Anthony Laffor, who suffered a hamstring strain a day before Sundowns’ last league match against Ajax Cape Town. Also very unfortunate is Zambian midfield maestro, Mulenga Makuka who had just recovered from an ankle injury, only to injure it again just before the same match. Tiyani Mabunda has made a full recovery and is now doing full training with rest of the team, while Rodney Ramagalela is making good progress with his rehabilitation for a hamstring related injury. On the goalkeeping department, Thela Ngobeni and Glenn Verbauwhede are still out nursing their respective injuries, which means Kennedy Mweene and Wayne Sandilands are the only two goal-minders available for the match. Thamsanqa Sangweni will also miss the crucial clash as he is also still recovering from a calf strain he picked during a friendly match,” the club’s official website revealed.
