Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Bafana Bafana international Anele Ngcongca.
The Siya crew revealed earlier this morning that the player had announced his move to Sundowns in the Belgian media while breaking the news that he was set to pen to paper on three-year deal with Masandwana, which includes a one-year option.
The club has now confirmed the signing on their official website.
“Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed signing Bafana Bafana right back Anele Ngcongca as part of coach Pitso Mosimane’s bid to strengthen his team ahead of the multiple fronts on which his team will be fighting this season, ending speculation about the player’s destination as several Premier Soccer League clubs were after his signature,” read on the club’s official website.
Sundowns have beaten Kaizer Chiefs to the 28-year-old’s signature, bolstering their defense as they go in search of CAF Champions League glory and domestic silverware.
The versatile defender can play at both right-back and centre-back which will allow Coach Pitso Mosimane options in the defence.
