Mamelodi Sundowns are stepping up their plans to get Tendai Ndoro from Mpumalanga Black Aces.
It was recently revealed on the Soccer Laduma web and mobi-site that Sundowns are interested in the Zimbabwean striker.
Ndoro, who is currently with the national team of Zimbabwe for the 2015 Orange Africa Cup of Nations first round, second leg qualifier against Tanzania, has been in scintillating form in the short space of time he has been with Aces.
The 26-year-old scored seven league goals for AmaZayoni in his first season with the club, despite starting his PSL career in the second half of the season in January.
“Mamelodi Sundowns are preparing an offer for Tendai Ndoro. They want to buy him from Aces. They are busy preparing an offer. The player has been called up to the national team. He will be coming back because I have heard that Sundowns are preparing an offer to buy him from Aces,” a source close to the club revealed.
It was revealed by the Siya crew that Ndoro previously turned down an offer from Sundowns in favour of Aces when he signed for the club this past season.
According to a source at Aces, any talks involving Ndoro or interest in him at all, will have to go through the club as the player has an existing contract.
“They aren’t talking to us. If they are talking to the player and not us, that’s another thing. We are waiting. The player is with the national team at the moment. The boy has two years in his contract with the club,” said the source.
Ndoro has also attracted interest from Greek giants Olympiakos. The Greek Super League side is keen to sign the player.
