Baxter: We Were Poor In The First Half
Kazier Chiefs boss, Stuart Baxter was pleased with his side's 2-0 win over SuperSport United but admits they were poor in the first half.
Second half goals from Mandla Masango and Kingston Nkhatha saw Chiefs maintain their perfect start to the campaign but the Amakhosi boss was not pleased with their first half efforts.
"Pleased with the result, pleased with the second, but I thought we poor in the first half," said Baxter after the game.
"I thought we had a string of very nice attacks in the middle of very poor first half, that wasn't the type of football we want to play.
"Second half looked more like us, we pressed better, we broke up their play more, braver with the ball, better movement, I think when they played with a compact established defence, we pick our way through better,So everything was better in the second half but we got to have that for 90 minutes."
Meanwhile, Man of the Match, Tsepo Masilela admits it was a tough opening 45 minutes.
"It was a difficult first half, but we did create some half chances in the first half, We playing home, we would want to push more numbers, but they would catch us on the counter." said Masilela.
