SuperSport United head coach, Stuart Baxter, addresses the rumours linking Kaizer Chiefs veteran midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, with a move to Matsatsantsa a Pitori.
The Scotsman spoke to Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview in edition 963 and, revealed that any reports linking him with a move for Yeye or any other Chiefs player is pure speculation.
“I don’t think anybody knows what the situation is with ‘Yeye’ or any of Chiefs’ players.
“But, look, if any of Chiefs’ players are planning to leave, I’m sure that Stuart Baxter and SuperSport and other clubs in the country will be alerted and they will be fighting for that sort of a player,” Baxter told Soccer Laduma.
As reported by the Siya crew, the Glamour Boys have offered the former dreadlocked Bafana Bafana international an improved contract after lengthy contract negotiations.
The former Absa Premiership title-winning coach added that if there were to be said developments within the Chiefs quarters regarding players wanting to leave, a number of PSL coaches would be alerted.
“I’m sure that Gavin Hunt at Bidvest Wits and Pitso Mosimane at Sundowns are going to be equally as interested as SuperSport. I’m interested to follow the developments of some of Chiefs’ players, because I know them well.
“But, again, that’s a far cry from me trying to unsettle people and drag them away from Naturena. Number one, that’s not my style, and secondly, I’ve got a lot of respect for the people I worked with at Naturena,” Baxter concluded.
