Ramagalela: We Have To Finish On A High

Striker Rodney Ramagalela targeting a positive finish for Polokwane City

Polokwane City striker Rodney Ramagalela has urged his teammates to end the season on high as the Limpopo-side targets a top-eight spot.

Rise and Shine will take on Cape Town City this evening in what will be a must-win encounter if they are to make it to the top half of the PSL table.

Despite the four defeats and only one victory in their last five league games the striker who topping the goalscoring charts is adamant that the Limpopo-side will have a change in fortune.

“It’s been a rough ride for us and form has not been with us all season long, but we have a chance to make things right in our last three remaining games,” said the 29-year-old.

“We want to come away with something this season and for us, that is a top-eight finish. However, as a team we are proud of each other, it is unfortunate that results did not go our way.

“Cape Town City are a good team. Since they have competed in the season they have not finished outside the top five so it won’t be an easy match but we are playing in front of our supporters so that is going to help us a lot,” added the striker.

Ramagalela has been one of the standout performers for Rise and Shine scoring 11 league goals in 26 starts. Despite gaining PSL admirers the striker told the crew that he is committed to helping his side finish in the highest possible position.

“I’m a Polokwane City player and I would not be here without my teammates and the passes they have provided me to score the goals. We play and win and lose as a team,” concluded the striker.

in South Africa if you reach double figures as a striker like 10 goals, you get praises and you had a great season. Mediocrity is killing our football and should not be celebrated. as long as we think Tau is better than Salah and Mane. we will never grow
