Lizo Mjempu is still struggling to get a club this season, despite having spent the first half of the 2013/14 campaign in football wilderness.
The former Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates player hasn’t had the luck enjoyed by some of his former teammates like Nhlanhla Shabalala, George Maluleka and Lebogang Manyama who have all signed with new clubs already in the January transfer window.
“It’s still quiet on my side, I don’t have a club yet. I am still training on my own. I’m still around though,” said Mjempu.
Mjempu last enjoyed his football when he played alongside the likes of Maluleka and Manyama under Foppe de Haan at Ajax in the 2010/11 season.
The 30-year-old was at Moroka Swallows in the 2012/13 season. His contract was not renewed when it expired at the end of the season.
