On-form Wits striker, Sthembiso Ngcobo, is happy to have regained his goal-scoring form following his frustrating time at Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu.
Mapholoba, as Ngcobo is known in football circles, has been in rich scoring form for Gavin Hunt’s team since joining them from Chiefs in January.
“I’m happy to be back and scoring goals again. I guess the fact that I’m playing regularly here at Wits has help me to regain my scoring touch,” said Ngcobo.
“It’s been such a long time since I played week in and week out. If I’m not mistaken, the last time that happened was when I was still playing for Free State Stars many seasons ago. I would like to thank Gavin for giving me the chance to play.
“It’s a pity that I have only started playing for him now during the twilight of my career, but I’m glad that this chance finally came. I’m looking forward to repaying his faith in me by banging in goals for Wits,” added Ngcobo.
Ngcobo will look to increase his goal tally when the Students take on Platinum Stars tonight.
