Komphela Speaks As Chiefs Go Four Without Victory

Kaizer Chiefs head coach, Steve Komphela, is now four Absa Premiership games without a win as the Christmas break draws closer, but they’re still just three points from the top.
The Amakhosi drew 1-1 with Free State Stars over the weekend as they had to battle back from 1-0 down, although they missed a number of chances to kill the game as they fought in vain to try and land three points.
Komphela spoke briefly about a few players following the encounter, discussing Joseph Molangoane, Itumeleg Khune, Teenage Hadebe and Gustavo Paez.
Speaking to the club’s official website he said, “Tight should have put the ball in the net… Itu is a great keeper… Teenage did well in his first game, although he was also a bit nervous. He was much more relaxed (v FSS).”
Meanwhile, on Gustavo Paez, he added, “We are still trying to understand how he runs, there is a difference between theory and practice. But we will get there.”
Chiefs may be struggling for form, but Komphela doesn’t seem to be too worried, concluding by saying, “We just need to continue fighting as we are looking for the three points.”
The Glamour Boys’ next game sees them face Chippa United next week.
