Kaizer Chiefs Head Coach, Steve Komphela, commended Keagan Buchanan’s performance on Saturday, despite the team suffering a 1-0 loss on the day.
Kaizer Chiefs stretched their winless run in the Absa Premiership to four matches, after suffering defeat to Polokwane City at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, May 13.
Speaking to Amakhosi’s official website the head coach believes that the Glamour Boys should have walked away with three points on the day, however, is determined to salvage maximum points in their upcoming two Absa Premiership encounters.
“We should have killed the game in the first half. We will continue to do our best until the end of the league programme,” Komphela told Chiefs’ official website.
“We wanted to collect the three points. We looked threatening, especially in the first half, but we couldn’t finish. We will go back to the training ground and do our best to win the two remaining matches.”
Buchanan, whose last appearance came during Chiefs’ 0-0 draw against Bloemfontein Celtic in December last year, made his way into Head Coach Komphela’s starting line-up on Saturday.
“Buchanan played well. He didn’t have match fitness, but he commanded himself well under the circumstances,” he added.
