Steve Barker insists his AmaZulu side were unfortunate yet again following their 1-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in an Absa Premiership match on Tuesday.
The loss sees AmaZulu rooted firmly to the bottom of the league table with nine points following another tight loss.
Speaking after the game Barker said is a bit of a recurring movie, but he is confident things will turn around in the near future.
“It seems like it is a recurring movie right now – a lot of great effort, working hard for one another, keeping ourselves in matches to try and win it, but unfortunately once again we gave the goal away which was a bit of a soft goal,” said Barker.
“At the end of the day we probably didn’t create enough chances ourselves to actually win the game.
“But if we can continue to play like this I am sure we will get some victories under the belt.
“We played the three centre-backs with the two wing-backs, that was our game plan to try and get a bit of service into Bongi Ntuli and ‘Drogba’ (Bongani Ndulula), but unfortunately we didn’t get as much as I hoped.
“I must commend my players again for their great commitment and their never say die attitude.
“Tomorrow is another day and we have to stand up.
“I feel that around the corner one or two victories will give us some hope.”
