Mbulelo Mabizela is an inspiration to the other players at AmaZulu in their fight against relegation this season, if Steve Barker’s words are anything to go by.
The defender, who joined Usuthu in January, has been enjoying impressive form under Barker at the KZN outfit.
Mabizela scored the only goal for his side in their 1-1 draw against Chippa United on Friday. The goal was the centre back’s third in three starts for AmaZulu.
“I am very impressed with the way Mabizela is contributing to the club. He has already scored three crucial goals and has been involved in some assist as well. The way he carries himself during training is amazing because he just inspires the other guys to work hard as well,” Barker told the club’s official website.
“His character and commitment to the club is amazing and it is good to know that he has so much interest for the club and the positive contribution he adds is just amazing.
“For now I am just happy with the commitment he has shown and I know that he is still going to play a positive role in the squad,” explained Barker.
AmaZulu’s leading strikers Bongani Ndulula and Bornwell Mwape, as well as the team’s midfielder, Goodman Dlamini, have each scored four goals so far in the 2014/15 PSL campaign.
