After extending the contracts of their key players, Stellenbosch FC have fast tracked their preparations for the new season by adding two new players to the first team squad for the 2021/22 season.
The Mother City outfit has unveiled two youngsters, Fuad Johnson and Antonio Van Wyk, who have been promoted from the club’s DStv Diski Challenge team.
“After their impressive DDC campaigns we are delighted to announce that we have secured the services of both Fuad Johnson and Antonio Van Wyk on apprenticeship contracts. Both players will be included in the PSL squad this season,” Stellies confirmed on the club’s official Twitter account.
Earlier this month, Stellenbosch confirmed extending the contracts of the experienced trio of Marc van Heerden, Robyn Johannes and Granwald Scott as the club’s head coach Steve Barker and the team will be aiming for a better season after the disappointment of the 2020/21 campaign with disappointing results.
