After retaining their top-flight status for another season, a Premier Soccer League outfit has made an important decision on two of their senior players.
Western Cape outfit Stellenbosch FC, who ended their maiden Absa Premiership campaign in 10th position on the log, have already begun making the necessary changes and additions to their squad for the new 2020/21 season.
Stellies have since confirmed two new signings last week, securing the services of Sage Stephens who was last on the books of Cape Town City and Zitha Macheke from Bidvest Wits.
The Siya crew has since learnt that they have now acted quickly to tie down two of their senior players in 32-year-old Granwald Scott and 33-year-old Asavela Mbekile.
Scott joined the Cape side in January this year, signing a short-term deal with an option to extend. Siya sources have revealed that the club has exercised the one-year option on his deal.
Meanwhile, Mbekile, who joined one month later in February, had his further two-year option taken up.
