Stellenbosch FC has signed former Cape Town City goalkeeper Sage Stephens as coach Steve Barker is continuing to strengthen the team for next season.
Stephens parted ways with the Citizens last week, having made only eight appearances as he had been second choice goalkeeper behind City’s number one Peter Leeuwenburgh.

The 29-year-old had been with City since 2017, having joined the club on a three-year deal.
Stephens becomes the second signing for Stellies after the Mother City outfit confirmed the acquisition of former Bidvest Wits defender Zitha Macheke on Friday.
