Stellenbosch FC confirmed the signing of a midfielder who was recently training at Kaizer Chiefs.
The Siya crew reported earlier this week that talks were ongoing for Phathutshedzo Nange to be sent out on loan to the Western Cape-outfit after Chiefs were unsuccessful in their appeal of the two window transfer ban.
Amakhosi appealed the ban before the Court of Arbitration for Sport earlier in September and it was subsequently confirmed in late October that it was dismissed.
As a result, the Soweto giants were unable to register Brandon Petersen, Nange and Sifiso Hlanti for the 2020/21 season and confirmed the release of the players to a club of their choice.
After Hlanti was unveiled by Swallows FC earlier this week, Stellenbosch have since confirmed that they've snapped up Nange.
"Done Deal. Stellenbosch FC are excited to have secured the services of ex- Bidvest Wits midfielder, Phathutshedzo NANGE. The player was released by TTM and secured as a free agent for the 2020-21 season," the club confirmed on their official Twitter account.
